MY BIRD HAS THE UPPER HAND HERE AT THE HOUSE

Although my bird is a cockatiel and not so colorful. Can't think of anything else to post here today so figured I'd put my art over here on this blog for a change.

It's been very hot, but a dry heat which is good which means I can still feel like a human being. We are expected to cool down in a few days to more seasonable temps.

I've been busy cleaning out drawers and corners in my bedroom so I have accomplished a few things.

My thoughts have been as dry as the heat, so nothing much to share here lately.I've been very saddened lately by the news coming out of China and Mynawar. I find myself researching a lot when I do get on the net and learning more about the Sichuan province and surrounding areas. I can't imagine how these people are coping with so much loss.

****On a lighter note... Hold on I'm looking for it, I'll be back.

AMAZING WHAT THIS MAN CAN DO, WHO HAS AUTISM

It is about 5 minutes long but you can always fast forward here and there. It's definitely worth a look.

MEET GRIFFIN AND SABINE

First off, the skies are clear and I think the fire is out in Mt. Baldy which is GOOD...

We decided we were ready to commit to a couple new cats. I had been wanting a cat for awhile now and hadn't gotten one because I assumed in our retirement we would be traveling a lot.. Well that hasn't happened and other than an occasional two to three day trip somewhere, we probably won't be gone for long periods at a time.

My son named the male which is the darker one, Griffin, after an Ultimate fighter he follows. I named the lighter one Sabine, because it just goes with Griffin. There has been a series of books out over the last ten years, "Griffin and Sabine".

I think we will shorten it and call her "Sabby". (Sorry Betty..I didn't purposely name her after your granddaughter...haha).

Cayden has met them and is havng lots of fun.

Our bird has met them and she just sqwaks at me like "what in the h*&^ have you done.

They are part Siamese and part (can't think of the type)..regular cat... Petco is having a clinic in a few weeks so they can get their shots and then we will have to get them fixed when its' time. I'm probably going to regret this some day when they are adults and demanding and telling me not to leave on vacation. With four adults in the house here we should be able to work this out for awhile until John moves out and when that happens the male cat will go with him, because he is the one who started this whole thing by telling me they needed homes.
