We never knew this place existed
until a few years ago.
It's not that far from the house,
probably about 30 minutes or so.

As you drive up Ortega Hwy one of the first structures you come to is the Lookout Point.
It looks down on Lake Elsinore (for those somewhat familiar with So Cal).
It's been here a long time and has been written up in the local papers as a good place to stop for breakfast.
It's obviously not fancy inside but you can't beat the views unless you are overlooking the ocean.
We each had a beer while sitting outside enjoying the day - and then took off to go a little farther and stop at Hell's Kitchen, another unique restaurant.
My choice of beer is Corona , my husband likes Fat Tire.

Wow, what a segue from Lookout point to Hells' Kitchen! The pics are great!
From the view I can somewhat tell where that is...and what great views over the lake!! You haven't tried the breakfast there, I take it?
Gorgeous views! I love Belgian beers, so I'm sure I'd find Fat Tire tasty.
Such BEAUTIFUL Views....!That first place looks like a GREWAT place for Breakfast or Lunch....!
The second one, as well...But...That first one is really stunning!
I love that second picture. The view there is spectacular. I bet it was a nice place to stop for a while.
Such amazing views!
I'd love it there!
Great pics, Sandy.
I like Corona too!
thanks everyone!
Ah I remember the Ortega Hwy.. I drove it to OC everyday for nearly 11 years.. to avoid the 15/91 interchange in the mornings and afternoon.. Quite an adventure.
Waving hi at ya Betty.
Hi Sandy,
Enjoying your blog, which I found through Nita.
Stunning views!
A while back, while I was on holidays down under, I discovered the Aussies call views like this "Look Out."
Cheers!
